New Information on State Mandated Furlough Days
Phone calls from across the state made by many County Clerk and Circuit Clerk Offices, including our clerk
Kevin Mooney, have
pursuaded State Government to keep the motor vehicle computer system fully operational on September 3, 2010. Our office will be open and will provide our normal daily services without limitation, except for issues or problems relating to property tax assessments or collections. The Property Valuation Office will remain closed due to state furlough.
About the Clerk's Office
The Bullitt County Clerk’s Office formed in 1797. Thomas Speed was our first Bullitt County Clerk. Since 1797, there have been 20 Bullitt County Clerks. Our current Clerk is Kevin Mooney.
The Bullitt County Clerk’s Office provides a variety of services from real estate recordings, marriage licenses, voter registration and elections to motor vehicles.
Our mission is to provide the citizens of Bullitt County with a superior level of customer service not normally expected from government, while still complying with Kentucky laws and regulations.
