Relay For Life
The Relay For Life is an overnight fundraising event created by the American Cancer Society. The Relay For Life was created to raise cancer awareness to collect donations for research, cures and treatments, and to celebrate cancer survivors.
Every year the Bullitt County Clerk’s Office teams up with other businesses and groups and collects money for the fight against cancer. In 2007, the County Clerk’s Office raised $1,267.00 for Relay For Life. The County Clerk’s Office sponsors a bake sale, flower sale and a playhouse giveaway to help raise money for Relay For Life. The bake sale occurs the week before Easter, the flower sale occurs the week before Mother’s Day. The bake and flower sale lasts for two days or until all products are gone, whichever come first. For dates on this year’s bake and flower sale, see the office calendar on the homepage or the News/Events/Announcements page.
The playhouse giveaway is sponsored by the Bullitt County Clerk’s Office where individuals can donate a dollar to the Relay For Life and receive a ticket for a chance to win the playhouse. A new playhouse is donated every year by USA Portable Buildings, owners Jim and Pam White. The County Clerk’s Office begins accepting donations for the playhouse around the first
of October. Donations are collected until the drawing is held around the 1st of May.
All proceeds from the bake sale, flower sale and the playhouse giveaway benefit Relay For Life.
Any individual can donate money to the Relay For Life through the County Clerk’s Office. Individuals can mail in donations or drop change in the Relay For Life Collection Buckets placed throughout the Clerk’s Office. Any individual wishing to donate money with a check should make the check payable to the Relay For Life.

Fellowship of Concern
The Fellowship of Concern started approximately forty years ago. The Fellowship of Concern is a group of several churches from the Shepherdsville and Hillview areas that are dedicated to helping individuals who are in need. They supply food, utilities and medicine to individuals who have fallen on hard times. The Fellowship of Concern reaches outside the local community by helping transients find their way by supplying gasoline to those who have become stranded.
Every Christmas the Fellowship of Concern teams up with the Lion’s Club of Shepherdsville to make Christmas Baskets for needy families and children. The Bullitt County Clerk’s Office displays a Christmas Toy Box that Deputy Clerks and other individuals fill with children’s toys for the Christmas Baskets. Anyone wishing to participate in this annual collection can drop toys off at the Bullitt County Clerk’s Office between December 1st – December 15th.
